QUEENS LAKE BAND BOOSTER PARENT ORGANIZTION

 

OBJECTIVES

 

1. To enrich the lives of the young people and further their musical interest through the Band Department of Queens Lake Middle School. The safety and welfare of the students shall be of importance when travel is involved or at any school function, away from school, or outside regular school hours, in which the Band Department is participating.

2. To bring into clear relationship the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the social and musical development of the student.

3. To develop between educator and general public such united efforts as will secure for every child who is interested in music the highest advantages that can be offered.

4. To provide funding for the Queens Lake Middle School Band for items which are beyond the resources of the York County Public School District.

 

All parents/guardians who have a child in the Queens Lake Middle School Band are members of the band parent organization. The mission of the QLMS Band Parent Organization is to be an active supporter of the band program. The band parent organizations goal is to be 100% participation from all parents at various times throughout the year. Meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the band room. The meetings are held to give parents the most current up to date information regarding the band program. It is expected that all parents participate at some time by volunteering your time with the band. Please be involved because your child will appreciate your support as well.
